Page Prediction is one of the best features of the browser. This feature helps browser to predict the page you are trying to reach just by analyzing your starting words in the search box. To improve performance sometimes browser load those pages in the background for fast response, which you have been visited earlier.
This feature sometimes helps you by preloading the page in the background but at the cost of your internet bandwidth or mobile data. This might be a wastage of internet resource for you. So let see how to stop this page prediction feature in Chrome browser.
Step 1. Open your Google Chrome in desktop and click on “three dots” at the right top corner next to address bar.
Step 2. Now click on Settings. This will open special Setting page of Google Chrome.
or Click on chrome://settings/ to go directly at the Setting page of Google Chrome.
Step 3. Go to the bottom of the page and click on Show advanced settings… links for more options.
Step 4. Now look for Privacy header. There you will find two option for Predication
- Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar and
- Use a prediction service to load pages more quickly”
Step  6. Restart Google Chrome. It will enable the changes we made in Step 5.
